My dear friend, collaborator and colleague has found himself with the prospect of raising his child without her mother.

I know Tee wanted to keep this a private matter, but word hit twitter within hours and now the genie cannot get back in the bottle.

So here it is. The sharp end of life. The bit no one expects or wants.

I know that the wheels grind slowly on this and Tee and his young child are looking at significant bills after the death of his wife Natalie. So I have started this ChipIn account. Money will be going to Tee Morris’ paypal to first of all pay off these bills which loom and then into an account for his little girl.

I have gone on and on about community again and again. Tee has given selflessly to my podcasts and many, many others. He is the originator of podcast audio fiction. The first. A founder of Podiobooks.com and a writer of many books on social media.

Tee doesn’t know I am doing this, but cast on distant shores this is the least I can do. I hope you can spare a few dollars for someone who has bought joy to so many. If you enjoyed his turn as Jack please consider donating. Every little bit helps.

And being a far minded person (at least most of the time) that makes sense to me!

So once again here are the rules; review Weather Child on itunes, podiobooks or podcast pickle – or indeed blog about it (multiple entries are indeed allowed) then email me pip at pjballantine dot com to let me know. This is so I have that all important contact address.

I will draw three entries. The first prize is a hamper of kiwi goodies, including a signed copy of Chasing the Bard and Digital Magic. And there will be two runner up prizes of a signed copy of either of those two novels.

The final episode will drop on the final day of July. This has been a blast, so hang onto something (perhaps a handkerchief) and prepare for the end of Weather Child.

Sidenote; the story of Faith’s accident is a completely true family story. My great-aunt, from whom I draw a large measure of inspiration for Faith, lost her finger in this accident. As a child I was always fascinated by why her finger was missing. When I found out how it happened I wished I had remained ignorant.
